In the comic book The Wicked + The Divine, every 90 years twelve random human beings turn into reincarnated gods and goddesses. Despite being immortal and having other god-powers, they all end up dead in two years. The series is written by Kieron Gillen, illustrated by Jamie McKelvie, and published by Image Comics.
Their purpose each go-round is to inspire humanity and fight off the Great Darkness. In the 2010s "Recurrence" (the term for their appearance) they all become pop stars.
The Morrigan (an Irish death goddess) was born Marian and was the lover of Baphomet when they were in college before their incarnations. She has three different aspects with different appearances: The Morrigan, Badb, and Anand, or Gentle Annie.
