Her back-story is that she and Frasier were married briefly in the past. She is played by three actresses: Emma Thompson in Cheers and Laurie Metcalf and Dina Spybey in Frasier.

She first appeared in the "One Hugs, the Other Doesn't" episode (30 January 1992).
