They unfortunately hire jazz-loving crime boss [[Jazzbo]] as a new trumpeter. Jazzbo is on the run from Captain Marvel Jr. and has stumbled into the possession of a horn with magic powers. He uses the horn's powers to make the wealthy clientele at the Carnival laugh so much they don't mind being robbed by him. 

The bandleader's name is a play on the phrase "Let's bebop."
