'''Barquin''' is a "kloo horn" player in the Star Wars Universe.
He is the brother of Figrin D'an, a member of [[Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes]], usually performing at the Mos Eisley Cantina.
No original member of the band, he later joined.

Barquin has some experience, as he played with [[The Max Rebo Band]] before.

In 1977, [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meco/ Meco] released a disco single of the bands tune heard in the movie, mixed with John Williams' main title theme, as ''"Star Wars Theme/Cantina Band''". The single peaked at number one on the American Billboard Hot 100 in August 1977, and was certified platinum. The single also appeared on an EP titled ''"Star Wars and other Galactic Funk"'', which was released the same year.
